Hello Partners and Friends,

We are delighted to provide you an update on the progress we continue to see from the high school students we trained from February to May of 2017 in partnership with American Explorers (

American Explorers is a leadership development program birthed and operated through the generosity of the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation (AMBFF). As a refresher, we began training earlier this year with 105 students in our initial cohort. We met every Saturday for 16 weeks from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. This was an exceptionally rigorous process to say the least for high school students learning what it takes to navigate the rigors of managing so many of life’s challenges while simultaneously developing high levels of discipline and responsibility for marketplace engagement.

We wish we could suggest otherwise but unfortunately, everyone did not make the cut. Less than 50 of those students made it through the entire sixteen weeks and met our 80% attendance and participation requirement. Of that number, 22 were prepared to compete with thousands of candidates for hire at the new Mercedes Benz Stadium. We are proud to announce that 100% of the students that interviewed were offered jobs and began work in August for the Atlanta Falcons first preseason home game.

We continue to hear nothing but great things regarding the progress of these students! We tip our hats off to Kaamel Nuri (Director of American Explorers) and the entire AMBFF team along with Chick-fil-A Foundation and the entire collaborative model we all continue to build together. We look forward to the launch of the next cohort later this year in preparation for the spring of 2018.

Finally, without partners and friends like you, none of what we do would be possible. Thank you greatly for your generosity and support! We will keep you posted on our progress!
