Hello Partners and Friends,

We are excited to announce the Workforce Investment Network (the City of Memphis’ Municipal Workforce Development Agency) has officially awarded us our first installment ($80,000) of a potential $400,000+ in funding over the next 18 months.

This first installment will empower us to launch with local business and community partners that include FedEx, FedEx Employment Pathways, The Crossover Experience, The Memphis Suit Project and many more with the intention of assisting 16 to 24 year olds who are out of school and out of work with the following three metrics: a) Finding a Job b) Keeping a Job c) Advancing in the Local Workforce.

What we love mostly about this agreement is the funding disbursement is based purely on meritocracy for services rendered. In other words, this is not a traditional grant. Funds will only be disbursed if we produce and provide quality services that meet or surpass the metrics we agreed to in our contract. If we don’t produce, we don’t get paid! If we produce and are effective, we get paid more….up to $400,000+ in fact. THIS IS EXCITING!!!! We will keep you posted on our progress! In the meantime, off we go to execute!

Thank you greatly for your support and generosity. Because of your support over the years, we are able to continue serving those we serve on a daily basis.

-The Gifted Foundation Team
