At Gifted, we believe building a solid life and educational foundation is fundamental to civic and social equality. We want to ensure that every willing student has an opportunity to overcome the personal and socioeconomic challenges they face on a daily basis in order to create a better pathway for him/herself and for their future generations. In light of this, every year in February we take the time to begin building the next cohort of Gifted students for our College and Career Access Program. On February 9th and 10th, we hosted interviews at the Chick–fil-A Foundation and Junior Achievement Discovery Center in downtown Atlanta. Hats off to the Chick-fil-A Foundation for making it such a special occasion for us! In lieu of the traditional Q&A format, we utilized a series of interactive exercises, along with provocative and insightful questions to support us in gauging our next cohort of potential students. We look forward to announcing them to you in the very near future.
Our plans are to utilize every resource possible in order to equip them long-term to become leaders in the marketplace. We need your help in order to make this vision a reality! One of our many goals in 2015 is to ramp up our platform of corporate partnerships. We are grateful for the ones we already have: The Chick-fil-A Foundation, The SunTrust Foundation, The Arthur Blank Foundation and many more. However, the students we serve need all the resources we can possibly identify for them. Please consider adding your company to our list of corporate, community and/or strategic partners.
In the meantime, we want to know that we can count on you to continue our efforts. An easy and low-cost way to support right now is through our tumbler. You can buy a tumbler and change a life with our new special education Gifted tumblers. For $25, you can buy one tumbler and provide 60 days of mentorship for a student. Buy five tumblers for $125 and your gift of mentorship lasts an entire year. You can also sign up to become a mentor or simply go online and make a donation. As always, we appreciate your support.
With Deep Appreciation,
